In the late summer of 2015, Jeff Stairs saw the value in The Skating Lab by how much it helped improve his son’s confidence and performance on the ice. Jeff Potter, owner and operator of ProSkateCorner and long standing stakeholder in the business, met Stairs, and quickly formed a dynamic business relationship that allowed them to take over the Skating Lab by late 2015.
Together, Potter and Stairs, or “Jeff Squared”, combine their individual talents and passions for the hockey industry to continue to provide high quality products and services to players all over the GTA and beyond.

Jeff Potter is no stranger to the hockey industry in the Greater Toronto Area. Not only is Jeff an expert skate sharpener and hockey equipment consultant for both individuals and teams, he serves on the board of directors for the Stop Concussions Foundation and is a voting member of the Canadian Standards Association.
In addition to being part owner of The Skating Lab, Jeff continues to develop ProSkateCorner, his hockey skate maintenance business that operates on the premises.
