JAKE MCCAIG
SINCE 2017
EDUCATION
Jake is a Kinesiology graduate from Lake Superior State University. While completing his degree, he worked with the LSSU Lakers (D1 Men’s Hockey) as well as the Soo Greyhounds of the OHL.
COACHING EXPERIENCE
Jake grew up in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario where he worked alongside Fred Perlini (Toronto Maple Leafs) coordinating summer hockey camps for all ages, including junior and pros. He has worked closely with Brendan Perlini of the Arizona Coyotes during this time. He has previously worked in the OHL as a strength and conditioning assistant with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds before moving to Toronto for other opportunities within hockey.
COACHING PHILOSOPHY
Jake's coaching philosophy is adaptive to each unique skater he works with. He is encouraging and high energy, creating a positive environment for the kids to learn and grow. He utilizes creative thinking to adapt to the skater's needs.
Jake is well respected for his extensive knowledge and hard work.

EMMA KYRINIS

Emma is currently completing her Master’s in Professional Kinesiology at the University of Toronto! When she's not in school she is one of our dedicated and enthusiastic trainers!
COACHING EXPERIENCE
Emma grew up in Toronto participating in both figure skating and hockey making her extremely knowledgeable about the practical applications of the training she offers. She started by teaching Learn to Skate programs making her great with newer skaters of all ages and young skaters of all levels!
Emma's passion for skating fundamentals shows in her training style which is perfectly in line with our principles. By not neglecting your foundational skills you can properly build and advance your skill set over time.
MEAGHAN MCGILL

EDUCATION
Educationally, Meaghan holds a diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion from Humber College as well as a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from the University of Guelph-Humber.
COACHING EXPERIENCE
Meaghan’s athletic background has allowed her to coach multiple athletes in various sports. She has had the opportunity to teach dance recreationally and competitively, as well as coach volleyball and soccer. Her most recent experience is with coaching circus arts/gymnastics. Meaghan also trains the general population in health, wellness, fitness and rehabilitation.
COACHING PHILOSOPHY
From her own experience, Meaghan is diverse in understanding the biomechanics of sport and the focus, drive, commitment and push that high-calibre athletes require to advance in their physical and mental training. Meaghan puts a high focus on athlete foundation and proper movement mechanics. She coaches her athletes to use their bodies as one unit, training fascial lines and understanding the concepts of stability, mobility, strength, and power. She understands that every athlete is different and may require unique approaches in order to feel successful and confident in their ability and skill.
FUN FACT
Meaghan has had to opportunity to compete on international stages in countries such as Denmark, Italy and Scotland for World Street Dance competitions, specializing in hip hop.
MIKE SACCHETTI

EDUCATION
Mike has his BKin in Kinesiology at The University of Toronto. He is now in his final year in the Faculty of Ed. at York University, studying to become a teacher.
COACHING EXPERIENCE
Mike is a Toronto native, he grew up playing competitive hockey in the GTHL like many of our clients. He has a strong understanding of the necessary skills hockey players need to develop. He has coached power-skating for different GTHL teams. He also coaches soccer and runs soccer training camps during the summer through the City of Toronto. Mike brings his passion for teaching and love for the game to each session he instructs. Making sessions fun while still reinforcing the fundamentals.

A motivated growth mindset combined with attention to detail and technique are imperative to improving and reaching achievable goals as an athlete.

BRYAN POLMEAR

Education
Bryan grew up playing competitive sports including competitive hockey and attending Edge School. He has a BHPE in Sports and Rec Management and is currently a 3rd-year Chiropractic student at CMCC.
COACHING EXPERIENCE
Bryan has a strong passion for hockey, having played Midget AAA in Calgary and Jr. A/B for 4 years all over from Saskatchewan all the way to Whitefish Montana. He began his coaching journey as the Jr. B Cochrane Generals assistant coach before advancing to a position at The Skating Lab Toronto.

ALLYSON SKEFFINGTON

Education
Allyson is a Human Kinetics graduate from the University of Guelph. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College.
COACHING EXPERIENCE
Allyson grew up in Toronto and played in both the GTHL and the LLFHL. Her competitive hockey and baseball background has allowed her to coach athletes in both sports. While in school for her Bachelor of Science degree, she pursued her passion for hockey and skating and worked at a Learn to Skate program for 3 years.
COACHING PHILOSOPHY
Allyson’s passion for human movement and skating technique shows in her training style. The goal of her training sessions is to provide a fun atmosphere for learning and provide tangible feedback for constant improvement.
