NIKKI BEST

EDUCATION
Niki is a Summa-Cum Laude Kinesiology graduate with a Specialized Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at York University. Continuing, she successfully completed her Ontario Graduate Certificate in Exercise Science and Lifestyle Management at Humber College. Niki is currently studying to become a paramedic.
COACHING EXPERIENCE
Niki has competed at the representative/competitive level in hockey, soccer, dance, and horseback riding.
JAKE MCCAIG

EDUCATION
Jake is a Kinesiology graduate from Lake Superior State University where he trained with the LSSU Lakers Division 1 hockey team.
COACHING EXPERIENCE
Jake grew up in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario where he worked alongside Fred Perlini (Toronto Maple Leafs) coordinating summer hockey camps for all ages, including junior and pros. He has worked closely with Brendan Perlini of the Arizona Coyotes during this time. He has previously worked in the OHL as a strength and conditioning assistant with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds before moving to Toronto for other opportunities within hockey.
FUN FACT
His favorite NHL team is the Toronto Maple Leafs.
MEAGHAN MCGILL

EDUCATION
Educationally, Meaghan holds a diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion from Humber College as well as a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from the University of Guelph-Humber.
COACHING EXPERIENCE
Meaghan’s athletic background has given her the opportunity to coach multiple athletes in a variety of sports. She has had the opportunity to teach dance recreationally and competitively, as well as coach volleyball and soccer. Her most recent experience is with coaching circus arts/gymnastics. Meaghan also trains the general population in health, wellness, fitness and rehabilitation.
COACHING PHILOSOPHY
From her own experience, Meaghan is well diverse in understanding the biomechanics of sport as well as the focus, drive, commitment and push that high caliber athletes require to advance in their training both physically and mentally. Meaghan puts a high focus on athlete foundation and proper movement mechanics. She coaches her athletes to use their body as one unit, training fascial lines and understanding the concepts of stability, mobility, strength, and power. She understands that every athlete is different and may require unique approaches in order to feel successful and confident in their ability and skill.
FUN FACT
Meaghan has had to opportunity to compete on international stages in countries such as Denmark, Italy and Scotland for World Street Dance competitions, specializing in hip hop.
TYLER KING

EDUCATION
Tyler is currently pursuing a Masters of Professional Kinesiology at the University of Toronto.
COACHING EXPERIENCE
Tyler enjoyed playing sports growing up, such as hockey, baseball, volleyball and soccer. He is now passionate about working as a Kinesiologist. He has conducted 2 research projects in his university experience, where he analyzed which foot positions worked best for lifting, and how the best position varies for people with different limb length ratios. He has also worked at the Sensory Motor Instructional Leadership Experience (S.M.I.L.E) program where he worked 1-on-1 with children of different abilities, helping them improve specific gross motor skills that were relevant for their needs.
COACHING PHILOSOPHY
He loves working with people, using his knowledge to improve their sport performance as well as help them stay healthy while training and competing for sports. Ultimately, he loves seeing athletes have fun and improve by focusing in on their specific goals and needs as an athlete.
